Team Matching

The core of a successful startup is a team with passion, know-how and complementary competences. Startup Incubator Berlin has set itself the task of helping you get the right people into the game. You have a great idea but you are missing a programmer with whom you can bring the project to life? You have developed a great technology, but need help with marketing?

Whether you have a business idea and are looking for the right companion or are willing to become a co-founder, we can help you! We definitely encourage you to register yourself on our Matching-Platform.

Startup Incubator Berlin Coaching
The “Startup Now” coaching program consists of two parts. In the context of reflective coaching, our start-up coaches put themselves into your shoes and look individually for possible challenges and develop possible solutions and strategies with you. The coaches think of themselves as your sparring partners.

In addition, the Startup Incubator Berlin has the possibility to give you access to external coaches for more specific coaching. We cooperate with experts from a wide variety of areas of fundamental importance – from corporate law to crowdfunding.

To the Coaches
In order to determine your coaching needs, we recommend you to arrange an initial discussion with us.

As part of our workshop program, our lecturers regularly provide you with important input for your start-up project. The duration, content and design of the workshops are as diverse as the themes themselves.

While you will learn how and where you can build a real prototype of your idea with simple materials and low costs in our prototype workshop, you could also be involved in the workshop called “Corporate Contracts: Do’s and Don’ts” to legally gear up for your first financing round with Investors.

You can always find our current workshops in our Event-Kalender.

Startup Incubator Berlin Co-Working Space
The Startup Incubator Berlin has an office space of 400m2 on which you and your team can bring your startup idea to life. At the moment, we provide a total of 10 team workplaces for up to 5 people each. The offer includes Internet, meeting rooms, a kitchen, and for recreational time a foosball table and a table tennis platform.

The greatest benefit however, is the proximity and contact with the other founders. We support and encourage the exchange of experience, so that you can directly benefit and learn from other experiences. You do not have to reinvent the wheel!

Our regular and varied event formats not only offer you access to ambitious founders, but also help you get on with your idea. In addition to highlight events such as the BSEL Demo-Day, various pitch events and the UX- Testing, we offer a variety of workshops and seminars or arrange regular network meetings in a relaxed atmosphere.

On the last Thursday of every month there is always a contact evening in the Business Incubator Berlin. The aim of the event is to have an informal networking with and for those interested in creating a startup, students, founders and all who want to get to know the Business Incubator Berlin.

One of our startups prepare the food and another team activates our brains by giving a small speech and/or activity.

With the Startup Now program, we want to give our start-ups the opportunity to learn from experienced people. The goal is to provide each team with two mentors.

A mentor is usually academically-oriented, a professor at the BSEL and accompanies the project from a scientific or strategic point of view. The other mentor comes directly from the economy; Often bringing startup and management experience.

Mentoring is then held regularly with you and your team.

To the Mentors

Start-up scholarships, bank loans, business angels or VCs – most of the founders need financial support in the beginning (and often in the future) in order to completely concentrate on their startup.

Here, the Startup Incubator Berlin also offers support. The most popular way to start-up funding is often through a scholarship. We advise and support you with „Exist Gründerstipendium“ and „Berliner Startup Stipendium“ and give you an initial assessment whether your project is suitable for the scholarships.

In the later phase, we will also be at your side to assist you with business angels and institutional investors.

Through the close connection to the teachings at the BSEL, the teams in the Startup Incubator have access to various teaching events and can implement (partial) projects together with the students.

It doesn’t matter if it is the evaluation of possible sales options in the “product and sales management” course or the development of an app prototype in the course “Software Engineering”, the startups profit from the results of the students and these in turn profit from being involved in real and practical case studies.
