BLOCKATHON BERLIN

The BLOCKATHON Berlin is all about novel startup concepts using blockchain technology.

Entrepreneurs, blockchain developers and Web3 enthusiasts develop prototypes for their blockchain-based startup idea over a weekend. Each team has the chance to win cash prizes, cool NFTs as well as participation in funding programs and angel investments.

Entrepreneurs, blockchain developers and Web3 enthusiasts develop prototypes for their blockchain-based startup idea over a weekend. Each team has the chance to win cash prizes, cool NFTs as well as participation in funding programs and angel investments.

Blockathon Berlin is realized by Startup Incubator Berlin in collaboration with TTI Vision and Phala Network:

  • Über ein Wochenende entwickelt ihr Blockchain-basierte Geschäftsmodelle & Prototypen zu 3 Hackathon-Tracks.

  • The hackathon will take place virtually.

  • If possible, you will start as a team of two or three.

  • You retain all rights to your concepts & prototypes.

  • You will present your results in front of a jury consisting of business angels, blockchain experts and startup coaches.

  • The best teams will receive immediate prizes and option for follow-up funding.

  • Instant prize money in 3 categories of over
    €9,000 in total:

    1. instant prize money per category: 2.000,- €
    2. instant prize money per category: 1.000,- € (except Metaverse & more)
    3. instant prize money per category: 550,- € (except Metaverse & more)

    *sponsored by TTI Vision

  • Wildcard for the Berlin Startup Scholarship Pitching Event (May 12) and a chance to receive funding of up to 36,000 EUR (for a team of 3).

  • Option for early angel investments by TTI Vision, among others.

  • Cool NFTs & Crypto-Coins from Blockchain and Metaverse provider Phala Network / Phala World.

  • Advanced mentoring & coaching specifically for blockchain-based business models.

  • Use of SIB coworking spaces & infrastructure for up to 9 months in the Startup Now program.

  • Included is support from our SIB internal coaching team, our pool of external experts, academic mentors from the HWR Berlin and mentors from our business network.

  • You want to found a startup or would like to join a team.

  • You are enthusiastic about the possibilities of blockchain technology and, if possible, have already gained experience in this area.

  • Your last university or college degree was not more than 5 years ago.

  • In the best case your residence is in Berlin.

  • You have not yet received a Berlin Startup Grant or EXIST Founder Grant.

From March 23 to April 13, the Blockathon will feature open, virtual panel talks. Here, exciting blockchain speakers will share their knowledge, highlight potential market opportunities and discuss your questions. Each panel talk is also always an opportunity to meet other blockchain enthusiasts and form teams for the Blockathon weekend (April 29 – May 2).

From March 23 to April 13, the Blockathon will feature open, virtual panel talks. Here, exciting blockchain speakers will share their knowledge, highlight potential market opportunities and discuss your questions. Each panel talk is also always an opportunity to meet other blockchain enthusiasts and form teams for the Blockathon weekend (April 29 – May 2).
