Lumind is a handy designer lamp that helps people with diabetes and their relatives to integrate diabetes more easily into their everyday lives.
Diabetes is a chronic metabolic disease that requires people to control and monitor their own blood sugar levels. Our first product – the Lumind Habitat – is a handy design lamp that uses coloured light to visualise blood sugar readings: unhealthy values are warned by red or blue light, whereas a blood sugar value in the target range is rewarded with green light. The measured values are automatically sent from compatible measuring devices to the Lumind Habitat via the Internet. In this way, the information is always close at hand and available at a glance – even for relatives at another location.
